Photography - Kensington Metro Park

The nature trails have several areas to rest and observe the wildlife. It's very common to find nature photographers here. For this shot I tried to keep the people in the lower-left third of the image so I could capture both them and the wildlife they're photographing.
Not everyone who visits the park is after pictures. Many people come here just to walk the trails and see the variety of animals. This shot keeps the people in the right third of the image and uses their body language to draw the eye toward the center.
I had to zoom in quite a bit to get this shot, but I think it turned out really well. The neutral sky creates a strong contrast with the eagle perched in the treetop. Sights like this are rare in the local area but common in the park.
The park is home to several bodies of water, so boating and fishing are popular activities during the summer months. I tried maintaining balance in this shot by keeping the boat in the upper third of the shot while getting the ducks swimming by in the lower third.
The metro park, to put it simply, is very large and the Nature Center comprises only one part of it.Whatever outdoor activities you want to do, there is a place in the park for it. Design-wise, the road markings, along with the motorcycle, give this shot a good sense of motion.
The beach areas of the park are some of the most popular areas during the summer, even in the later months The bright sign acts as the focal point of the shot, with the viewer's eye moving outward to the patrons and the water. .
Many of the park's areas accommodate groups and families, with gazebos, tables, playgrounds, waterparks, boat launches, etc. The balance in this shot comes from having people in the foreground and background.
The many animals in the park, from birds to deer to squirrels, are accustomed to humans. You'll often see them wandering the streets and trails. Probably the most basic shot of the sequence, the uneven terrain obscures most of the background but ensures the animals stand out.
